Fine Food & Wine

New Favorite Hot Spot:

Etto Pasta Bar features fresh made pasta with classic Italian preparation and local ingredients. They source their ingredients from more than a dozen local farms and ranches, and change their menu monthly. Visit them in Tin City for lunch or dinner.

Favorite Wine/Beer/Distillery Experience:

"Where to start?! It would take at least three weekends to get in all of my favorites. Again, I would say Tin City has so much to offer in such a small area with amazing wineries like Hubba, Field Recordings and Desparada to name a few.  Herman Story Wines can’t be missed.  I’m partial to Denner for their incredible wines and while you are out that direction hit up Clos Solène, Thacher and Willow Creek Wine Collective."

When and Where to Visit:

"Spring! Wildflower blooms and amazing weather!"

Favorite Local Events:

The California Mid-State Fair is held in Paso Robles every year for 12 days at the end of July. Bringing junior livestock shows, food, art, carnivals, a country rodeo, and some of the biggest names in music to the community since 1946, the California Mid-State Fair is an attraction for everyone to enjoy!

Creston Classic Rodeo was founded in 1996 by a local "cattlema'am" with the help of her friend, the legendary cowboy Cotton Rosser, with the dream of producing a large rodeo event for the small town of Creston. This rodeo has grown over the years and has raised funds to go back into the community, including renovating their old fire station into a community center, and continues to be a favorite event among locals who want to watch a traditional country rodeo.

Hidden Gems to Discover:

"Creston is a bit of a hidden gem. Go grab some food and then wander across the street into Allgood Custom Leather Store. Parkfield is a great place to visit as well."

How to Spend a Weekend on the Central Coast:

"With my family. Lots of sports activities with our boys and time on the ranch or at the local beaches."

Lodging Properties in Paso:

"Hotel Cheval is a great place to stay for a quick walk around downtown. There are also a lot of vacation rentals if you want something off of the beaten path."
