July 22 – August 2
The Fair opened in 1946 and was first known as the San Luis Obispo County Fair. The California Mid-State Fair is held annually and runs for 12 days at the end of July. The Fair has hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry. Artists such as Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Journey, Rod Stewart, Fergie, Justin Bieber, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney have all performed on our Main Grandstand Arena stage. New this year is a carnival provider, with two separate carnival areas: the traditional carnival area, plus the brand-new Cub County, a carnival dedicated to toddlers and young children. At the north end of the Fairgrounds you’ll find our brand-new Paso Robles Pavilion, a towering structure that features 100,000 square feet of exhibit space. And while you’re at the Fair this year, stop by one of our many new attractions like our Hall of Bugs, Slugs and Spiders, Wild West Turkey Stampede, Strongest Man and Woman Competition or the Tomatoes, Tortoises and Treasures exhibit!
