Using guidelines from the CDC, the state and the county, Paso’s businesses have implemented uniform safety standards to protect the wellbeing of employees, guests and our community. These include specific training, signage, measures to protect employee health, guidelines for physical distancing, and increased sanitation and disinfection efforts. While everyone is responsible for his/her own safety, businesses throughout Paso Robles are doing everything possible to welcome you back.

So, when you begin re-exploring your hometown, or book a staycation, you can feel confident you are entering a safe and healthy Paso Robles.

Tourism Matters

#SavorPaso empowers Paso Roblans to shape our community’s future. The lifestyle and quality life we enjoy is paramount to the recovery of our community.

Downtown City Park Dining Presented by JUSTIN

In response to California mandates to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Paso pivoted to support its downtown restaurants, wineries and businesses. A section of the iconic Downtown Paso City Park was transformed into a safe al fresco dining experience, complete with private farmhouse style tables, a sanitation team and host, and bistro lighting.

Open June 18 – October 31, the free alfresco dining section safely hosted 7,040 local diners, supported 43 restaurants, won the praise of Forbes Magazine and served as a model for other communities.

How it worked - Diners ordered takeout, including wine, beer and cocktails, from local businesses then headed to the park’s shaded dining section where a host would guide the group to their private, sanitized table. The experience was launched to encourage SLOcals to safely get out of the house, explore the paradise we call home and support one of the key pillars of tourism – our family-owned restaurants and downtown winery tasting rooms.

The program was developed by Travel Paso, Main Street Association, Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Business Association, with the support of thirty-seven sponsors and vendors, including presenting sponsor JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery.

Thank you to all of the diners who supported our local community. We love Paso!

Imbibe Local Brews and More

We may be known for wine, but Paso is also home to cutting-edge craft breweries, cideries, and distilleries. We have nearly 250 wineries, but also cutting-edge craft breweries, cideries, and the Paso Robles Distillery Trail.

The spirit of Paso comes together as an affiliation of farmers, winemakers, brewers, bartenders, chemists, and enthusiasts who take tremendous pride in creating quality, handcrafted products. It’s more than wine, it’s the art of the blend, the creation of new products, and the passion of the makers who call Paso home.

And most, if not all are open for tastings, including the BarrelHouse, and Firestone Walker’s Taproom,  Silva BrewingKilokilo Brewing, and Tin City Cider.

Paso’s dozen-plus craft distilleries are still slinging spirits (and hand sanitizer to keep the community safe). To see the various specials and to order a curbside pickup of your favorite local potent potable, check out the Paso Robles Distillery Trail.

The show must go on. While large gatherings are still on hold, Paso Robles’s cultural institutions continue delivering innovative and fun ways to enrich our lives, including group art classes at Studios on the Park to virtual visits.

Internationally-acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light at Sensorio is now open. The array of more than 58,000 stemmed spheres lit by fiber-optics, gently illuminating the 15-acre landscape is scheduled to be open through January 3, 2021. Book your tickets in advance. With new physical distancing rules, Sensorio has time ticket entry, a one-way path to experience the exhibition, limited group size, mask coverings, and other safety measures to welcome you back.
